Cameras aboard yachts serve several purposes including security and systems monitoring. Now that they can be linked throughout a vessel via multi-purpose navigation systems and entertainment screens at the helm, salon and cabins, the information is readily accessible just about anywhere onboard. Maybe a little too accessible. Such was the case when an American yacht owner, who was driving at the time, pressed the wrong button and found a crewmember getting down and dirty in the engine room with the owner’s barely-legal daughter. Do we really have to tell you the shouting, tearful explaining (on the part of the daughter) and trip to the nearest port to fire the said crewmember that ensued? Not really, but you can imagine the drama, and, although we don’t usually relish in other’s misfortune, this one was just too good to pass up.
