Offering the most comprehensive collection of the marine products and services in the world, the 2005 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will again cover six sites on land and in water in the "Boating Capital of the World."
More than $1.6 billion worth of boats, yachts, super yachts, sailing yachts, electronics, engines and thousands of accessories from major manufacturers will cover more than 3 million square feet of space on land and in the water at the 46th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The show, the largest by overall area in the world, will run from Oct. 27-31.
The six sites include the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, Marriott Portside Marina, Pier 66 Marina, Hall of Fame Marina, and the Las Olas Marina.
The Bahia Mar Yachting Center will feature multi-million dollar super yachts, family boats, inflatable boats, engines, accessories and entertainment.
Surrounding the center will be a collection of the worlds most luxurious super yachts (yachts 80 feet and over). Included in the lineup are the: 180-foot Mia Elise from Trinity Yachts; 165- and 154-foot sailing yachts from Perini Navi; 163-foot Nereids from Ardell; 131-foot Magic from Northern Star; 123-foot Heesen; 108-foot Paraiso from Alloy Yachts; and 108- foot Broward.

The Super Yacht Builders and Designers Tent This is where some of the worlds most prestigious yacht builders and designers will present their work. The international showcase of products and services will feature nearly every aspect of custom building, designing and decorating under the 60,000 square foot customdesigned structure.
The International Yacht Builders Pavilion Its the "United Nations" of yacht builders, designers and shipyards. Ultra-chic displays from Australia, Germany, Great Britain, France, Holland, New Zealand and the United States will be housed in the 15,000 square foot pavilion.
Engines, generators, air conditioners Show visitors will be able to see the newest engines, generators and air conditioners for small boats, midsize cruisers and super yachts.
Seven accessory tents Seven immense tents will be filled with all of the boating accessories one can imagine, including the newest in electronics and hundreds of boating-related products. These shopping areas will also feature jewelry and nautical clothing. Additionally, there will be information on financing and insurance.
Boats on land Hundreds of trailerable boats, inflatables and personal watercraft will cover the land area.
Boats in water Bahia Mar (north side) will include powerboats, sport fishing boats, family cruisers, brokerage boats and super yachts. Bahia Mar (south side) will feature sportfishers, motor yachts, trawlers, express cruisers, super yachts and brokerage yachts. Super yachts from 80 to over 170 feet will line the face dock.
Entertainment, fun and fashion Show visitors are encouraged to take a break during the show at the International Food Garden and floating cocktail barges. There will be food, live entertainment and fashion shows.
The Hall of Fame Marina, which extends northward from the end of F-Dock at Bahia Mar, will feature super yachts, brokerage boats and exotic cars.
Las Olas Marina, a short stroll from the Hall of Fame site, will have brokerage boats in all sizes from some of the worlds leading builders. And, new this year will be a special section featuring catamarans from 37 to 80 feet in length.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center has been described by some show officials as a "show within a show."
Level one, the main floor of the convention center, will be packed with the worlds finest fishing boats, family cruisers, runabouts, flats boats, center consoles, jet boats, engines, fishing equipment and accessories. The Kids Fishing Village will also be featured. Level two is the lounge area that overlooks the shows main floor, where visitors can enjoy buffet dining. And, level three is where there will be hundreds of displays with accessories, marine art and clothing. Level three is also the spot to see Guy Harveys new adventure film, fashion shows and marine seminars.
Sailfish Pavilion is located outside the convention center on the northeast side of the building. The pavilion will include runabouts, trailers, personal watercraft, inflatable boats, high performance boats, center consoles, cuddy cabins, and family cruisers.
Pier 66 Marina and Marriott Portside Marina will play host to the "Queen of the Show," the 208- foot Northern Star from Lurssen, along with 150-foot Lia Fail from Opus Yachts, which will be docked at the Marriott. In addition, new and brokerage motor and sailing yachts will line the marinas, located across from each other on the Intracoastal Waterway.

show visitors can use water taxis,
riverboats or a free shuttle service to
