ROGUE WAVE
Cheers to the new partnership of International Yachtsman [IY] and Wave. They’re two of my favorite magazines. As a yacht captain, I enjoy reading about the latest megayacht launches and notable yacht owners in IY. In Wave, I see things I’m interested in like watches, beers, cigars, girls in bikinis and boats I could aspire to own. Not everything has to start from the bazillions. TIP: Add Cape San Blas to the “101 Liquid Locations” list you printed last month. I discovered this beach last month in Port St. Joe in the Florida Panhandle. Lady, our four-year-old Border Collie/Shepherd, is allowed on the dunes there. That’s where I read your Depp interview in Wave. When I crewed on Princess Sarah, we almost wore out the first Pirates DVD. What’s next?

Editor’s Response: Thanks for the compliments, Captain! I will make sure to add Cape San Blas to future travel features. As to what to expect in Wave and IY in upcoming issues, I think you’re going to be in for a treat. Besides continuing our exclusive celebrity interviews, you’ll notice a subtle expansion of sections in both magazines and creative features that target both the bazillionaires you refer to (IY) and dedicated waterphiles like yourself (Wave).

ANTSY ARGENTINE
Where do you find those hot women in your bikini section?! They drive me crazy with their teasing gazes and perfect bodies. They’re so seductive! Are they real? Although I’m originally from Argentina, I’m currently based in Omaha, Nebraska, and we just don’t have women like that here — and I’m a male model who works with female models here on a daily basis! Please tell me they’re real!

Editor’s Response: They’re real.

PWC POWER

Our family has always been comprised of avid boaters...my father likes to brag that his kids could jetski before we could walk. As huge PWC enthusiasts, my family and I were wondering if you’ll be covering PWCs in future issues of Wave. Keep up the great work: Wave is one great magazine for anyone who loves the water!

— Alan Williams
    Wave Fan

Editor’s Response: Alan, I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the water! Our “PWC POWER” feature in our March issue received rave reviews from across the country and I’m eagerly looking forward to covering the best of PWCs in upcoming issues of Wave. Whenever possible, we cover PWCs in our “SPLASH” section at the front of the magazine. In this issue, in “SEATOIDS,” you can read all about how a retired banker rode more than 5,000 miles on his jetski in a single summer. And you thought you were an avid PWC-er! Hope you enjoy this issue.

WAVE WORLD
As a long-time reader of Wave, I have to take a moment to congratulate you on the evolution of this publication. What was once essentially a local-interest, newspaper-style periodical is now a world-class, first-rate magazine that takes a prime spot on my coffee table reading stack. The articles are engrossing, entertaining and just plain fun to read. I appreciate the fact that the editorial content spans the world, instead of just Florida and the Bahamas. There is a lot more out there to read about, and you’re covering it. The photography is superb and the overall layout keeps getting better with every issue. As a former boating magazine editor, I do not hand out lavish praise on a casual basis. However, in my opinion, Wave is a great publication and it is now THE South Florida-based general-interest boating magazine.

Editor’s Response: Bill, I’m honored that you took the time to write your stellar opinion of Wave. Since taking over the helm at Wave, I’ve worked hard to yield world-class content into the magazine, award-winning photography and creative ideas that appeal to our readers. Although we still have a very loyal fan base in Florida, our subscribership has expanded to every corner of the U.S. and abroad to places that include the Caribbean, Australia, UAE and almost every major waterfront city in Europe.
