Wave Life Just in case you’re wondering, this is still Wave Magazine . It’s just that our horizons have broadened to encompass every corner of the planet. No longer are we just focusing on South Florida — we’re now globe-trotting around the world to bring you the best our global waters have to offer. And to keep up with the editorial scope, we’ve incorporated a few design tweaks. You’ll notice the sophistication of the layouts has dramatically improved. The headlines speak for themselves, the photography is perfectly melded with the text and art elements, and the cover is popping like never before. In this issue, we take a look at Bimini and trace the island’s history — and inevitable future. We also interview Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, Thom Dammrich and Carey Chen, three men who are making big waves in the industry. In Splash!, we take a look at some of the most technologically advanced gadgets on the market and even throw in a $1 million lure encrusted with 4,753 diamonds and rubies. We also jump continents to bring you the Top 10 finest yacht clubs on the planet and tour the U.S. to indulge in the best seafood dishes in America. In this issue, you’ll also learn the most effective way to sell your boat — and how best to party while breaking in your new one. We also travel to Iztapa in Guatemala and to Stingray City in the Caymans, two of the most intriguing places on Earth. So whether you’re reading us to keep up on the latest and greatest or you’re just vicariously traveling through the places we visit, one thing’s certain: After flipping through our pages, you’ll be more global than you were when you picked us up. If there’s a part of the world you think we need to cover, shoot me an email at jarauz@wavesf.com and we’ll chat. Always remember, the “Wave Life” is just as much about you as it is about us.
Jorge Arauz, Editor in Chief.
